Fishing rules

At Étangs de Saint-André, fishing is practiced with respect for nature and other anglers. These guidelines ensure the preservation of our exceptional site and the smooth running of your fishing day.

Fishing permission implies acceptance of these rules. Étangs de Saint-André being a private domain, management reserves the right to refuse access.

General welcome guidelines

  • Mandatory check-in at reception upon arrival for formalities

  • Hours: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM, closed on Tuesdays

  • Companions: In case of high attendance, limited to 1 non-angler person

  • Minors: Must be accompanied by a responsible adult

  • Alcohol: Any person under the influence will be excluded from the site

Safety and site respect rules

  • Dogs: Must be kept on leash, droppings must be collected

  • Traffic: Speed limited to 15 km/h, motorized traffic prohibited around ponds

  • Swimming: Strictly prohibited

  • Boats: Prohibited on all ponds

  • Noise pollution: Horn, car radio, speakers prohibited

  • Equipment: Generator and halogen lamps prohibited

Environmental respect

  • Fires: Prohibited except for carp anglers in night sessions (reservation required)

  • Waste: Bins available, cleanliness respect mandatory

  • Fauna and flora: Absolute respect under penalty of exclusion

  • Drinking water: Not available on site, bring your jerrycans

Sanctions

Management reserves the right to check rigs. Any breach of regulations may result in sanctions up to permanent exclusion from the site, without compensation or refund.

Rules by pond

Carp Run Lake - Pond #1 | Full "No kill" fishing

  • 3 rods maximum per angler

  • Carp landing net (90cm minimum), reception mat (10cm thickness), bite alarms mandatory

  • Hair rig mounting mandatory

  • Hooks between #2 and #8, barbs allowed

  • Braid on reel prohibited (except S-bomb)

  • Baiting and bait boats allowed

  • Uncooked grains prohibited

  • Antiseptic mandatory in case of fish injury

Trout Ponds (Small, Mixed, Large) | Unlimited catches

  • 1 rod per angler

  • 1 stocking per half-day (9am and 3:30pm)

  • Spoons, artificial lures and triple hooks prohibited

  • Baiting and maggots prohibited

  • Authorized baits: wax worms, mealworms, trout paste

Carpodrome - Pond #5 | Full "No Kill" fishing

  • 1 line per angler on mandatory pontoon

  • Landing net and reception mat mandatory

  • Immediate release

  • Braid and keepnet prohibited

  • Baiting allowed, uncooked grains prohibited

  • Antiseptic mandatory in case of fish injury

No refund will be made in case of early departure of the angler.
